The third season of Record of Ragnarok is set to premiere on December 10, 2025. Adapted from the manga by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui, the anime centers on the Ragnarok tournament where humanity must defeat the gods to secure their survival on Earth.

1. Qin Shi Huang vs Hades
The first battle of season 3 pits Qin Shi Huang against Hades.
Qin Shi Huang, founder of the Qin dynasty and one of China’s greatest emperors, has a tragic past. Born from a union between a Qin dynasty member and a Zhao dancer, he was abandoned as a child. His youth was marked by suffering from an illness that allowed him to feel others’ pain, especially when they harbored negative emotions toward him.
On the other side, Hades enters the tournament driven by a desire to avenge his brother Poseidon’s death. As the Lord of the Underworld, Hades is a formidable opponent for Qin Shi Huang.
In the trailer, Qin Shi Huang, who usually wears an eye patch, removes it for the first time. We see him observe the flow of energy inside Hades’ body, revealing his superior insight as he identifies the god’s weakness early on.
2. Nikola Tesla vs Beelzebub
The eighth round features the highly anticipated clash between Nikola Tesla and Beelzebub, one of the most exciting battles in the entire series. Fans will witness a fierce showdown between science and magic.
Tesla, a brilliant scientist who changed the world with his inventions, is regarded as one of history’s greatest minds. In the tournament, he appears clad in electrically powered armor, granting him enhanced physical strength and impressive endurance.
Meanwhile, Beelzebub is a god who can manipulate vibrations. Known as a cursed figure by Satan himself, Beelzebub is famous for his sharp tactical intelligence, which will surely challenge Tesla. One of Tesla’s signature techniques is even expected to be countered by Beelzebub.
Interestingly, Beelzebub also possesses extensive knowledge of biology and medicine. Rumored to be immortal, the question remains: can Tesla overcome this god?
3. King Leonidas vs Apollo
The third battle in Record of Ragnarok season 3 is between King Leonidas and Apollo. This ninth round is unique because both warriors hail from the same land: Greece.
Leonidas, the Spartan king, is known for his pride and rebellious spirit. He harbors deep hatred toward the gods. Like a true Spartan warrior, he possesses extraordinary combat strength and an unshakable will.
His opponent, Apollo, is a famous god known as the Sun God. He is a skilled boxer and an exceptional archer.
What adds tension to this fight is Leonidas’ longstanding grudge against Apollo dating back to ancient times. An edict from Apollo once led to the sacrifice of Leonidas and his followers.
