The Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo series has been warmly embraced by fans worldwide, despite initial skepticism. Sequels rarely match the acclaim of their originals, and it’s tough for any mangaka to outshine their classic work.
However, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo stands out as an exception. Featuring an entirely new cast and a distinct style, this series shows real potential to surpass the original Jujutsu Kaisen.
Yuka Okkotsu, The Ultimate Successor

Set 68 years after the events of Jujutsu Kaisen, sorcerers continue to operate but the era has changed completely. Gojo Satoru is no longer around to protect Japan, but that doesn’t mean the country lacks a new generation of powerful sorcerers. So far, Gege Akutami hasn’t revealed any new special grade sorcerers, but he has clearly introduced two characters with the potential to reach that level.
Among them, Yuka Okkotsu is predicted to become Japan’s next Gojo Satoru. The reason is simple: she has a close blood connection to Yuta Okkotsu, who is distantly related to Gojo Satoru through their common ancestor Michizane Sugawara.

Why Yuka and Not Tsurugi?
When it comes to pure cursed energy power, the only next-generation candidate who could become the second Gojo Satoru is Yuka Okkotsu. This might seem unfair to Tsurugi Okkotsu, Yuka’s twin brother, but Gege Akutami’s character development holds the key.
Both Yuka and Tsurugi are grandchildren of the legendary duo Maki and Yuta, but they have different idols and paths. Interestingly, Yuka’s idol is more closely tied to Gojo Satoru than Tsurugi’s.
Many may have forgotten, but Yuta Okkotsu was Gojo Satoru’s official student. He was known for possessing an enormous amount of cursed energy, even considered greater than Gojo himself. According to Gojo, they are connected through Michizane Sugawara, their ancient ancestor and one of Japan’s three Vengeful Spirits. Because of Yuta’s blood relation to Gojo, he was even able to lead the Gojo clan in place of his master for a long time.
Now that Yuta Okkotsu is gone, Gege Akutami has designated Yuka Okkotsu as the potential successor. Like Yuta, Yuka holds a vast reservoir of cursed energy and will eventually access the full power of the cursed spirit Rika. Mastering and controlling this immense energy will make her the next Gojo Satoru in terms of cursed technique strength.
Potential to Become Japan’s Strongest Sorcerer

Among the strongest next-generation sorcerers in Japan, Yuka Okkotsu is likely to reach the pinnacle in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. While Tsurugi also has great potential, he aims to follow Maki Zenin’s path, a sorcerer relying more on physical combat and less cursed energy than Yuta.
If Gege Akutami follows his original concept, Yuka will surpass Tsurugi once she fully controls Rika and awakens her own Domain Expansion.

However, Tsurugi could still rival Yuka since they are often portrayed growing together. If that happens, Tsurugi might surpass Maki Zenin, but due to his lower cursed energy and innate technique skills, Yuka will remain the strongest sorcerer and the rightful heir to Gojo Satoru’s supreme status in Japan.
