The Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga is gearing up for an exciting new arc that leads to a massive battle in Konoha. Once again, Kishimoto and Ikemoto are setting the stage for major developments that could change everything fans know about the Shinju (Divine Tree) and the Otsutsuki clan, along with their extraordinary powers.
Recently, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 27 sounded a death knell for a character, hinting at a huge loss on the horizon. Kashin Koji, who can foresee the future through his prophetic abilities, confirmed the rise of a new disaster, one that could claim the life of a key character and forever alter the situation in Konoha.
Eida’s life is in serious danger

After the fierce battle in the Wind Country, Boruto’s main characters are regrouping to face another threat as Mamushi, a humanoid Shinju, draws closer to Konoha with the intent to devour Eida. From the start, Mamushi has targeted Eida, driven by an instinct to consume her, much like Matsuri’s focus on Konohamaru and Ryu’s on Gaara.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 27 also raised the “death flag” for Eida, as her growing fear of Mamushi’s relentless pursuit suggests she may be cornered despite Daemon’s protection. Eida even hints at the possibility of dying at the hands of her friends Sarada and Sumire, almost as if she senses her grim fate.

It’s a chilling moment, knowing Mamushi must settle the score between the Shinju and Konoha’s people.
After Jura lost Matsuri and Ryu to Boruto, Konohamaru, and Sarada in the previous battle, it seems Kishimoto and Ikemoto are ready to bring glory to the humanoid Shinju faction. Eida is likely to become the sacrificial lamb this time, and her death could completely shift the story’s direction.
Mamushi’s Division ability poses a serious threat
The humanoid Shinju are currently the strongest villains in Boruto, led by Jura, who embodies the Ten-Tails in his youth. Based on what fans have seen so far, these supernatural beings are far more dangerous than any other antagonists, wielding both perception and Shinju Jutsu. They can also regenerate, making lasting damage or instant defeat extremely difficult.

While not as powerful as Jura, Mamushi is likely one of the strongest Shinju members. As revealed in chapter 27, Mamushi possesses a formidable ability called Division, which allows him to clone countless powerful versions of himself. As long as his eyes remain unharmed, Mamushi can endlessly regenerate, making it incredibly difficult to defeat him through conventional combat.
Although Mamushi’s “army” has a critical weakness, the rapidly growing number of clones and his unwavering focus on capturing Eida make it very possible for him to succeed. If that happens, Eida will be nearly defenseless, as she mainly relies on Daemon’s protection in battle. Moreover, Daemon could be overwhelmed by Mamushi’s numerous clones without backup. The situation would be dire, and Eida could become the next death target in this conflict.
