The story is adapted from the Sanskrit epic Ramayana by Valmiki, a cornerstone of Indian culture. It follows Rama, the righteous prince and heir to the throne of Ayodhya. Trained under the sage Vishvamitra, Rama proves his strength and virtue before marrying Princess Sita.
