In the world of One Piece, Devil Fruits are among the most fearsome sources of power. Among them, the Mythical Zoan type stands out as the rarest and strongest, allowing users to transform into legendary creatures while granting special abilities similar to Paramecia.
So far in the manga, 16 Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits have appeared, but only a few have had their names and full abilities revealed. Below is a ranking of the 10 strongest Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits based on what creator Eiichiro Oda has shown in the story.
10. Uma Uma no Mi, Model: Pegasus
User: Stronger (Doc Q’s horse)
This Devil Fruit allows the user to transform into a Pegasus or a Pegasus hybrid. However, since Stronger is a horse, the ability mostly just grants wings.
Despite Stronger’s impressive endurance, surviving Magellan’s poison and many battles, the Pegasus Zoan has not demonstrated notable combat abilities beyond enhanced mobility. If a human ate this fruit, its potential could be much greater.
9. Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Onyudo
User: Onimaru
This fruit lets the user transform into an Onyudo, a giant monk demon from Japanese folklore.
Onimaru gains human-level intelligence along with significant strength and speed, even managing to fight Zoro. However, aside from transformation, this fruit lacks special supernatural powers, making it weaker compared to most other Mythical Zoans.
8. Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi
User: Kurozumi Orochi
Inspired by the eight-headed serpent from Japanese mythology, this fruit allows Orochi to transform into a giant snake with eight distinct heads.
Its most terrifying feature is survival ability. Orochi has survived decapitation by Kaido and the Nine Red Scabbards multiple times. Only when all heads are destroyed does he truly die.
7. Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Kyubi no Kitsune
User: Catarina Devon
This Mythical Zoan is based on the Nine-Tailed Fox from East Asian culture.
Catarina Devon’s greatest power is the ability to transform into anyone she has touched, making her the perfect disguise expert for the Blackbeard Pirates. Currently, she also has the appearance of Saint Jaygarcia Saturn, opening up dangerous possibilities.
However, in terms of raw combat strength, this fruit is not particularly outstanding.
6. Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix
User: Marco
Marco can transform into a Phoenix with legendary blue flames of rebirth. This is considered one of the strongest healing abilities in One Piece, capable of curing nearly any injury. Because of this, Blackbeard once sought to steal Marco’s power.
The only drawback is the huge stamina drain when using the flames for extended periods.
5. Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami

According to Kaido, Makami is the guardian deity of Wano. This Mythical Zoan grants Yamato power on par with the Four Emperors, enough to fight Kaido head-on for extended periods. Besides physical enhancement, Yamato can control ice even without fully transforming.
Notably, this Devil Fruit has yet to be confirmed as awakened.
4. Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin

One of the newest Mythical Zoans introduced in the Elbaf arc. Besides transforming into a Kirin and flying on fire clouds, Killingham has the unique ability to put others to sleep and turn their dreams into reality.
This power can create multiple dreams simultaneously, causing effects similar to sleep paralysis and making battles difficult even for Elbaf warriors.
3. Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu

Using this fruit, Sengoku transforms into a giant golden Buddha with immense physical strength. He can unleash shockwaves powerful enough to rival Blackbeard’s earthquake abilities and damage Luffy despite his rubber body.
Though past his prime, Sengoku remains one of the strongest Marine figures.
2. Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu

Once a World Government treasure before falling into the hands of the Rocks Pirates.
This fruit allows Kaido to transform into a massive Azure Dragon with incredible destructive power. Along with nearly unmatched physical strength and extremely tough scales, Kaido can control elements like fire, lightning, and wind, and fly using fire clouds.
For years, this was considered the strongest Devil Fruit in One Piece.

User: Monkey D. Luffy
No name deserves the top spot more.
Originally known as the Gomu Gomu no Mi, this Devil Fruit is actually the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, once wielded by Joy Boy during the Void Century.
After awakening Gear 5, Luffy gains the power and body of the Sun God Nika, along with the ability to turn imagination into reality through what fans call “Toon Force.” He can alter his surroundings, bend physical laws, and fight in completely unpredictable ways.
This power has enabled Luffy to stand against Kaido, the Five Elders, and become the greatest hope in One Piece’s final battle.
