One Piece is currently in the Elbaf Arc, and fans know the story is about to get even more exciting. Elbaf has focused on some of the biggest and most impressive plot developments yet, but what many fans might not realize is that it also hints at future events that will shake the world.
The Elbaf storyline in One Piece has been captivating, but what comes next promises to be even more thrilling, involving characters like Blackbeard and the Navy, and possibly the death of a high-ranking Navy admiral.
The Navy finally joins the major battles
Early in the story, the Marines didn’t play a deep role, which made sense. The Navy’s main firepower comes from the Admirals. They were too powerful to be main villains in the early chapters of One Piece, so they were never truly defeated.

However, the Final Saga of One Piece has changed all that. Now that Luffy and his generation have reached higher power levels, it makes sense that the Navy Admirals and others with similar strength are being called into battle. Egghead showed Kizaru struggling against Luffy, and fans will see more Admirals involved soon, especially with Blackbeard.
Blackbeard may kill Kizaru in a battle of Light versus Darkness

Blackbeard is one of the Four Emperors and carries the will of Rocks D. Xebec.
Rocks aimed to dominate the Pirate Island, destroy the Navy, and become the World King after defeating Imu. Blackbeard’s ambitions closely mirror Rocks. Fans know he rules Pirate Island Hachinosu and wants to become the World King. Like Rocks, he may soon seek to eliminate the Navy.
With the siege of Marijoa and constant attacks on ships, the Navy faces many challenges. While Fujitora is banned from Navy bases and Ryokugyu might be absent, Sakazuki will confront the Revolutionary Army, aided by the Holy Knights.
This forces Kizaru to stay at New Marineford to defend the base. If Blackbeard is smart, he will seize this chance to attack and capture the base, along with Kizaru.
In fact, perfect opportunities have arisen. The Navy is struggling with multiple threats, especially attacks from the Revolutionary Army and the Cross Guild. With Fujitora banned from bases and Ryokugyu possibly missing, Sakazuki must face the Revolutionary Army directly with help from the Holy Knights.
This leaves Kizaru stuck guarding New Marineford. If Blackbeard acts wisely, he will exploit this to strike and take over the base, along with Kizaru, the symbol of Light’s power.
Thus, Blackbeard’s assault on New Marineford (the Navy’s new headquarters) will be symbolic, much like what Rocks once did. He could destroy the Gate of Justice and then the Navy base itself.

The battle between Darkness (Blackbeard with the Yami Yami no Mi) and Light (Kizaru with the Pika Pika no Mi) is destined and highly symbolic.
Kizaru could be captured, and some predictions even suggest fans might witness a double execution of Kizaru and Garp at once (after Blackbeard captures Garp). This would be the most shocking event in One Piece history, marking the death of a top Navy admiral.
