In the world of anime and manga, debates over characters’ power levels never seem to end. However, the conclusion of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok has changed the conversation. Although the novel just recently finished, there’s no denying that Sung Jinwoo is stronger than anyone else, even characters from other universes.
Sung Jinwoo as a God in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok
Jinwoo was already powerful by the end of Solo Leveling, but Ragnarok set a new standard for his strength. In the sequel, Jinwoo leaves Earth to battle the Itarim gods, timeless and spaceless beings. Despite their immense power, most fans doubted he could defeat Goku in his Ultra Instinct form. Yet by the story’s end, Jinwoo gains a new power that lets him overcome these divine creatures.
This power clearly surpasses any transformation Goku has unlocked in Dragon Ball Super. Of course, since Super is ongoing, Goku might still unlock new abilities to challenge a Jinwoo this strong. Still, with Solo Leveling likely to launch more series in the future, Jinwoo’s strength could grow even further.
Fans Shocked by the Sudden Ending
Solo Leveling: Ragnarok officially ended a few days ago, surprising many fans with its abrupt conclusion, especially since many plot points remained unresolved. When Ragnarok was announced, fans were excited to see the story address issues left open from the original Solo Leveling ending.
However, this is not the end for Solo Leveling fans. Not only has a new manhwa been announced, with more stories expected to expand the franchise’s universe, but the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok webtoon version has also been confirmed to return soon.
Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Manhwa Set to Return
Last weekend, D&C Media teased on social media that the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok manhwa will soon resume. The webcomic paused in April 2025 so the creators could prepare upcoming story arcs. Judging by the timing, they appear to have waited for the novel’s conclusion.
The second part of the Ragnarok manhwa will likely focus on Cha Hae-In, who has been missing since early in the story. Although the webtoon closely follows the novel’s plot, many events have been significantly altered, so even readers of the novel won’t know exactly what will happen next.
Could the Webtoon Have a Different Ending?
The novel’s sudden ending might be due to personal or professional reasons. The author, Daul, only left a note saying the novel has ended, implying it finished as planned, which feels unusual to most readers. Even if the novel was canceled, it’s unlikely this would be openly admitted in the official announcement. Given the manhwa has diverged from the original story, it’s possible Daul ended the novel the way he did because there are plans to continue the story through the webcomic.
Of course, this is just speculation, and we will only know for sure as the manhwa progresses. As mentioned, Daul might have personal or work-related reasons for wrapping up the novel now. Don’t forget the author was involved in a car accident earlier this year, which may have impacted his life more than fans realize, or he could have other reasons for hastily finishing the story.
