Nearly three decades after his first appearance on screen, Gogeta’s most unique and wild transformation is back in the spotlight. The official Dragon Ball website has just announced news that has fans buzzing. Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta will be the next character to join Banpresto’s popular Match Makers figure series.
This new figure captures the legendary fusion warrior with incredible detail, showcasing a fierce expression and posed as if ready to unleash a decisive attack.
Recreating an epic battle nearly 30 years later
According to the official description, the Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta figure is directly inspired by the climactic battle in the Dragon Ball GT series.
“The ultimate showdown returns on an unprecedented scale! Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta joins the MATCH MAKERS lineup, delivering an undeniable presence through sculpting that highlights his overwhelming power. This figure is based on his fierce clash with Super Yi-Shinron, a character also set to release in the same month. Display both figures side by side and relive their iconic GT battle!”
The Match Makers line is known for giving fans the chance to own classic face-off versions of their favorite characters. Earlier in April, Banpresto released the Super Saiyan Blue Goku versus Super Saiyan Rosé Goku Black duo, which became a sensation among gamers and collectors alike.
The enduring appeal of Super Saiyan 4

The Super Saiyan 4 form was first introduced in the Dragon Ball GT episode “Back in the Game,” which aired in Japan in 1997. Unlike the traditional golden-haired transformations, Super Saiyan 4 is a unique evolution tied to the Great Ape origin, characterized by red fur covering the body and thick black hair.
This primal power was first awakened by Goku during his battle with Baby, and soon after, Vegeta followed suit. When circumstances forced the two warriors to perform the Fusion Dance, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta was born, unleashing a destructive energy capable of ending the reign of the most powerful villain at the time, Super Yi-Shinron.
A year of grand celebrations for Gogeta
The release of this figure coincides with one of the biggest celebrations of the year for the Dragon Ball brand, specifically the special TV program “An Unpredictable 8th Anniversary,” marking eight years since the launch of the hit mobile game Dragon Ball Legends.
The event featured a spectacular performance by renowned artist Daichi Miura, who performed “Blizzard,” the theme song from the 2018 film Dragon Ball Super: Broly. At the same time, the game officially added two ultimate fighters to its roster: Super Saiyan God SS Gogeta (Blue Gogeta) and Broly: Rage.
Whether in his iconic blue-haired Super form or the wild red-furred GT version, Gogeta continues to prove himself as one of the most beloved characters across the entire Dragon Ball universe.
