If you thought chaotic multiverses only existed in Hollywood superhero movies, Japanese animation has just delivered an even bigger surprise. To celebrate a major milestone, the legendary anime Detective Conan has announced an official collaboration no one saw coming.
The young detective in his iconic blue suit will team up with the heroines of Star Detective Precure in a two-episode crossover event that promises to thrill fans from both series.
When Magical Girls Welcome the Beika Legend

The first part of this rare world collision will air as episode 18 of Star Detective Precure titled “Meitantei no Assemble” (Detective Assemble!) on May 31. In this episode, the two heroines Anna and Mikuru struggle to find a priceless artwork stolen just before its exhibition.
By chance, Conan Edogawa, Ran Mori, and the sleepy detective Kogoro Mori are visiting Makoto Mirai town. Fate brings the two detective groups together to form a team that will expose and defeat the notorious Phantom Thieves.
Cure Answer Returns the Favor in Conan’s Hometown

The fan service continues with the “return leg” airing on June 6 in the detective’s own hometown. The special Detective Conan episode titled “Hanamaru na Answer” brings the magical warrior Cure Answer to Beika City.
The story centers on a bold jewel theft wave sweeping the city. This case excites young Ayumi because its setting mirrors a storyline from her favorite Precure anime (within the Conan universe, the magical girls exist as an anime series). While the Detective Boys stake out a jewelry store to catch the thief, a strange turn of events sparks a bad omen for Ayumi.
Combining an anime icon who has solved thousands of cases over three decades with a newly launched Precure series is a bold and smart move. It adds a touch of magical fantasy for loyal fans while introducing younger viewers to Japan’s king of detective stories, blending perfectly without disrupting the weekly broadcast schedule.
