Imu’s power is no longer a mystery. In One Piece chapter 1180, this enigmatic figure directly intervenes at Elbaf, revealing a staggering gap in strength compared to the Straw Hat crew.

Imu’s “Omen” Power: When Death Is Not the End

In the previous chapter 1179, Imu’s power was mentioned as a type of “Devil Fruit” ability but without details. However, chapter 1180 reveals Imu using a completely new ability called “Omen.”

Omen appears as a small but extremely dangerous black flame. Not only does it have devastating destructive power, but it also has the ability to revive those near death. Imu used Omen to instantly heal characters like Sommers and Killingham.

This raises a big question. Is this truly a Devil Fruit power, or an ancient or even divine power? The black flame seems like a symbol of inevitable destruction, fitting the chapter’s title perfectly.

A Bloody Clash: Zoro and Sanji Defeated?

Chapter 1180 is a nonstop series of chaotic scenes. Imu appears before Zoro’s group and immediately attacks Gerd to free Sommers.

Then, the Straw Hat swordsman unleashes his strongest move, King of Hell: Oni Giri. Yet Imu simply blocks the attack with his tail. Immediately after, Imu throws a small Omen flame directly at Zoro’s head, causing him to bleed and collapse before revealing black wings and flying away.

In another area, Imu uses Omen to revive Killingham right in front of Sanji’s group. When Sanji strikes with his signature kick, Imu counters with a wave of black flames causing a massive explosion that throws everything aside.

The power gap between the Straw Hats and Imu now feels like an abyss, pushing the story into its most dangerous phase yet.

Looking back at chapter 1179, Oda skillfully built tension as Imu appeared at Elbaf. But chapter 1180 turns that tension into real terror. Imu’s confrontation with Loki at the end signals a final declaration of war, heralding a global purge on a massive scale.
