Shizuka is gentle and kind, the ideal “girlfriend” figure for many generations of fans. Nobita is clumsy, lazy, and struggles at school, yet he has a kind heart and rare sincerity. Only Suneo, the wealthy kid, is often associated with negative traits, to the point many believe he is the hardest character to find any positive qualities in.
