Why Gogeta Is the Only One Who Can Beat Black Frieza Now

Black Frieza’s arrival has shaken up the power rankings in Dragon Ball Super. With Goku and Vegeta struggling, Universe 7’s last hope rests on a single warrior.

The Granolah arc in Dragon Ball Super ended with a huge shock for fans. Frieza, the series’ iconic villain, made a spectacular return in a new form: Black Frieza. With just one strike, he overwhelmed both Goku’s Ultra Instinct and Vegeta’s Ultra Ego, showing a terrifying power gap that completely changed the multiverse’s power balance.

When Universe 7’s heroes became powerless against Frieza

During the Tournament of Power, Goku unlocked a path to divine power. He personalized his strength by following the angels’ path with Ultra Instinct, while Vegeta chose the power of the God of Destruction through Ultra Ego.

This trend spread to other fighters as well. Gohan reached his Beast form, Broly mastered Super Saiyan Full Power, and Piccolo gained an Orange form. These five warriors now stand at their personal peaks, forming a group of evenly matched fighters across the multiverse.

Yet against Black Frieza, they all fall short. Remember, Frieza has the greatest innate potential in the universe. After discovering a Time Room on a random planet, he trained nonstop for 10 years to perfect his Black form. The result is a mortal stronger than any Z fighter ever seen.

Why only Gogeta can surpass Black Frieza

Right now, it’s impossible for any individual to defeat Black Frieza alone. No matter how perfected Goku’s Ultra Instinct or how much potential Gohan unleashes, they can’t close the gap created by Frieza’s decade of intense training.

That’s why Gogeta, the fusion of Goku and Vegeta, is the ultimate trump card. Many fans once believed Gogeta was weaker than Vegito, the Potara fusion. However, Gogeta’s appearance in Dragon Ball Super: Broly shattered that idea. The combined power of Goku and Vegeta doesn’t just add up, it multiplies.

Imagine Gogeta with Goku’s absolute defense from Ultra Instinct and Vegeta’s devastating offense from Ultra Ego. This fusion creates a mortal warrior rivaling or even surpassing the Gods of Destruction. It’s the only way Saiyans can quickly close the gap with Black Frieza.

Why Gogeta instead of Vegito?

Many wonder why not use Vegito. The answer lies in stability.

Although both fusions have equal power, Vegito’s major weakness is the Potara earrings. In the fight against fused Zamasu, Vegito’s fusion lasted only 15 minutes and ended early due to the overwhelming energy from Super Saiyan Blue. Combining Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego could cause Vegito to vanish within seconds.

On the other hand, the Metamoran fusion that creates Gogeta remains stable for 30 minutes regardless of energy output. This makes Gogeta the perfect warrior to withstand Black Frieza’s endurance and power.
