At the recent Jump Festa 2026 event, the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime dropped a new teaser trailer for its fourth arc titled The Calamity. The trailer revealed a moment that left the entire audience breathless: Ichigo will officially unlock the “Horn of Salvation” form during his fateful battle against the Soul King Yhwach.
The final chapter of this epic war will focus on Ichigo and his group as they storm the enemy’s stronghold. While Ishida Uryuu faces off against Jugram Haschwalth in a tense showdown, Ichigo and Orihime will confront Yhwach, the “Father of the Quincy”. This is when Ichigo will unleash his most terrifying power.
“Horn of Salvation”, The Pinnacle of Power Balance
This new form immediately brings to mind the legendary Vasto Lorde transformation that once overwhelmed Ulquiorra. However, there is a crucial difference: unlike his previous Hollow form where Ichigo lost control and sprouted two horns, in this ultimate state he fully controls his will and sports only a single horn on his head.
The name “Horn of Salvation” comes from the chapter title where this form first appeared, though some fans also call it the Merged Hollow Form. This power emerges after Ichigo fully understands his true origins, allowing the powers of Shinigami, Hollow, and Quincy within him to reach perfect balance.
When facing the immense spiritual pressure from the Quincy, the balance inside Ichigo is intentionally disrupted, allowing the Hollow soul to fully merge with his body. In this state, all of Ichigo’s stats, from speed and physical strength to spiritual pressure, are amplified to unimaginable levels, transforming him into an entity beyond the normal limits of a Shinigami.
