Recently, the cover of the June issue of V Jump magazine was unexpectedly leaked on social media forums, instantly grabbing huge attention from the Naruto and Boruto fan community. This cover features the two main characters, Boruto and Sarada.

Although Mikio Ikemoto’s art style has faced criticism in the past, this cover looks quite solid, especially with Boruto’s incredibly cool and commanding design.
The appearance of Boruto and Sarada on the V Jump cover also reminded many of a recent explosive rumor spreading online claiming Boruto’s official love interest is Otsutsuki Kaguya. This is a completely baseless and absurd rumor!

Throughout the storyline, Boruto has no romantic relationship with Kaguya. In fact, the “progenitor” has yet to appear in the new series and is only briefly mentioned by characters as part of ninja history.
Based on the latest manga developments, Boruto’s one and only true partner is Uchiha Sarada.
Let’s analyze the clear signs of affection between this childhood pair!
From Childhood Friends to Confessing Feelings
Boruto and Sarada have been classmates since their early days at the Ninja Academy and continued to team up as Genin. Although Sarada developed feelings for Boruto early on, she was initially unsure whether it was friendship, camaraderie, or genuine romantic love.
The matter was settled after persistent questioning by class leader Sumire, when Sarada blushed and admitted, “I like Boruto.” Shortly after, the two girls even made a pact to compete fairly for his heart.
Boruto’s Undeniable Affectionate Actions
Boruto, though a cool and reserved ninja who rarely expresses feelings verbally in the manga, shows everything through his actions.

When Boruto returned to Konoha after a long three-year timeskip, Sarada was so overwhelmed with emotion that she ran to hug him tightly. Though surprised at first, Boruto gently wrapped his arms around her. This intimate gesture was so obvious it nearly sparked jealousy from class leader Sumire standing nearby.

During a tense battle against the Ten-Tails insect entity, when Sarada was exhausted and unconscious, Boruto immediately rushed to hold her protectively. His panic and concern clearly demonstrate the deep love he has for Sarada.
In summary, Boruto’s official love interest is only Uchiha Sarada. The story involving Sumire Kakei is simply a devoted one-sided affection from the secondary female character.
