With just over a month to go, the legendary journey of the One Piece manga will soon celebrate its 29th anniversary, as fans eagerly count down to the 30-year milestone next year.
Across nearly three decades of publication, fans have witnessed countless unique Devil Fruit powers, each showcasing the creator’s boundless imagination. Beyond their powerful abilities, the designs of these fruits are crafted with remarkable detail.
Recently, SBS and official publications revealed the designs of five new Devil Fruits.
1. Shima Shima no Mi
User: Avalo Pizarro

This Devil Fruit allows its user to fully assimilate and control an entire island at will. Currently, Pizarro commands Hachinosu Pirate Island, turning it into his eyes, ears, and limbs.
Fans joke that if this fruit were awakened, Pizarro could merge all the islands in the world into one.
The island-shaped fruit looks like a miniature mobile island, both adorable and perfectly representing its power.
2. Noro Noro no Mi
User: Foxy the Silver Fox

This fruit grants the ability to shoot photon beams that slow down anything and anyone hit for 30 seconds, allowing massive damage buildup. It’s a top-tier time-based power, but as usual, Oda tends to give such ultimate abilities to characters who don’t fully develop them.
Looking at it, this fruit resembles a Ghost-type Pokémon. Without prior knowledge, no one would guess it’s the Delay Fruit.
3. Pao Pao no Mi
User: Marine Vice Admiral Urban

The Pao Pao no Mi lets the user transform body parts into heavy artillery cannons. When combined with Armament Haki, the destructive power is devastating.
Although Urban is a minor character, the fruit’s design is outstanding. It perfectly blends a cannon and a fruit, with the stem cleverly shaped like a fuse.
4. Ton Ton no Mi
User: Machvise

This fruit is an advanced version of the Kilogram Fruit (used by Miss Valentine), allowing the user to increase their body weight by tens of thousands of tons to crush opponents. Although Machvise was ultimately defeated by Hajrudin, it’s understandable since Hajrudin is the son of Giant King Harald.
The Ton Ton no Mi’s design is a masterpiece. It looks exactly like a statue of a strongman lifting a massive weight, resembling an anime version of the World Cup trophy. The design clearly hints that whoever eats this fruit can lift or crush anything.
5. Tori Tori no Mi
User: “Boss Reporter” Morgans

Many fans once mistook Morgans for a Mink tribe member because he always appears as a giant bird. However, the official Vivre Card confirms he ate a bird-type Devil Fruit.
This fruit’s appearance is top-notch, elegant and refined, with the stem shaped into wide-spread bird wings wrapping around the fruit.
