Imu, the rumored final boss of One Piece and supreme leader of the World Government, has been a central figure in the story for quite some time. His power and abilities have shaken the entire fandom. Many agree that Imu might be the strongest character in the entire One Piece storyline.
However, even this terrifying villain harbors fear of three distinct races in the story. These races not only threaten Imu’s reign but also the World Government and its global tyranny.
Here are the three races Imu must watch out for:
1. The D. Clan

The D. Clan isn’t exactly a race but a group of people who carry the initial “D.” in their names. They are known as the “Natural Enemies of God” and have opposed the World Government and the Celestial Dragons since the very beginning.

Recent One Piece manga chapters have confirmed a strong connection between the D. Clan and Davy D. Jones. In fact, the Will of D. is considered the Will of Davy. Members of the D. Clan are linked to nearly every major world-shaking event in One Piece’s history or future. They have been Imu’s greatest enemies for the longest time, and it’s speculated that one of them will end his reign.
2. The Lunarians
The Lunarians are one of the most mysterious races in One Piece and are believed to be extinct. They were once called the tribe of gods because they lived atop the Red Line. However, they seem to have been hunted by the World Government, which still offers a large bounty for any surviving members.

The only known Lunarian in One Piece is King, one of the three All-Stars of the Beasts Pirates and Kaido’s right hand. Lunarians can ignite their bodies and control the flames they create. They use these flames to launch powerful attacks or enhance physical strikes. Their unique biology grants them incredible durability, allowing them to adapt and survive in almost any natural environment. This resilience makes them a formidable threat to Imu.
3. The Giants

Giants are currently the most important race in One Piece as the story focuses on the Elbaph arc. They are considered the strongest race in the series, and after the D. Clan, they pose the biggest threat to the World Government. The government failed to wipe them out and then tried to bribe them. When both strategies failed, Imu had to personally intervene and take control over the Giants.
There are many types of Giants, including hybrids, making them one of the most diverse races. As the story nears the conclusion of the God Valley flashback, it will dive deeper into the mysteries of the Giants and why they pose such a major threat to Imu and the World Government.
