Eiichiro Oda’s epic saga One Piece is nearing its climax with explosive developments in the Elbaph arc. No longer distant myths, the gods from the “Void Century” are stepping into the spotlight, directly influencing and turning the tide of the upcoming world war.

Below is a ranking of all the gods from the Void Century based on their origins and ultimate abilities revealed up to chapter 1184.

6. Forest God

Forest God from One Piece

The Forest God was first mentioned by the Shandia elder 400 years ago (chapter 287) and more recently in ancient records in chapter 1138.

To this day, the Forest God remains the most mysterious among the four ancient gods. Its true role during the Void Century is still shrouded in darkness.

Its strongest ability is demon control. Though details are scarce, chapter 1138 revealed a crucial hint: the Forest God can “tame demons.” Many theories suggest this god is not Imu but instead possesses powers that can counter Imu’s dark magic or might be connected to the origin of the Devil Fruits.

4. Rain God Zaza

Rain God Zaza in One Piece

Rain God Zaza was mentioned by the girl Mousse on Skypiea in chapter 287 and partially revealed in chapter 1182.

The current form of Zaza is a nightmare version (MMA) summoned by Killingham’s fear through the Kirin Devil Fruit power.

Although the Zaza fighting at Elbaph is just a fear-based copy, this god’s power is enough to overwhelm and seriously injure giant warriors, even terrifying the Celestial Dragons.

As the Rain God, Zaza is the ultimate enemy of any Devil Fruit user. By controlling vast waters, Zaza can create deep isolated zones that imprison and drown opponents, stripping away their energy and resistance beneath the ocean. Its strongest skill is summoning rain and causing floods.

4. Sea God

The Sea God is linked to the Ancient Weapon Poseidon, existing since the Second World and inherited by Princess Shirahoshi today.

In ancient times, the Sea God was the mermaid princess of the Fish-Man Kingdom and a close companion of Joy Boy.

The Sea God embodies the supreme power of the ocean, which covers most of the One Piece world. This power comes not from physical strength but from absolute command.

Its greatest ability is “drowning the world.” It can communicate with and command millions of Sea Kings. With a single order, these monstrous waves can tear apart currents, destroy islands, and submerge entire civilizations.

3. War God of Elbaph

The War God of Elbaph was first mentioned by former captains Dorry and Brogy at Little Garden (chapter 119) and reappeared in the Elbaph storyline (chapter 1175).

In ancient times, he was Douzan, a mighty warrior who once faced the Sun God. His relics and power are now inherited by Loki.

Douzan always fought alongside his loyal companion, the divine squirrel Ratatoskr. His physical strength combined with the supreme Devil Fruit power made him feared by all forces.

His strongest technique is Thorheim (Kingdom of Thunder). Using the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr, the War God can transform into a giant shadow dragon. Thorheim unleashes a devastating lightning beam with terrifying energy density.

This attack is so powerful that Loki, the current heir, used it to challenge Imu, forcing the world ruler to deploy absolute defenses.

2. Joy Boy, The First Sun God Nika

Joy Boy as Sun God Nika

Joy Boy was the king of the Void Century, predecessor to Monkey D. Luffy, and the first to awaken the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika.

He embodies freedom and liberation. Alongside divine powers, he possessed an unimaginable Conqueror’s Haki so strong that even a sealed remnant after 800 years could blow away the Five Elders and force Imu to kneel in fear.

Joy Boy’s ultimate ability is Awakened Gear 5 in his divine form. Beyond Haki, his supreme weapon is the full awakening of the Sun God Nika, similar to Luffy’s Gear 5 but on a higher plane.

In this state, Joy Boy has a “divine circle” behind him, allowing him to turn any imagined thought into reality, fighting freely and breaking all normal physical laws.

1. Nerona Imu

Nerona Imu true form

Nerona Imu has existed for 800 years, the supreme ruler on the Empty Throne who defeated Joy Boy in the past war.

Above all others, Imu is the sole “dictator god” holding life and death over the entire One Piece world. Possessing a mysterious dark Devil Fruit power, Imu stands at the pinnacle of absolute power and strength, undefeated.

Imu’s ultimate skill set includes Omen (Maki) and Domi Reversi.

Omen is an energy completely opposite to Haki, manifesting as black flames. It causes devastating damage, creates absolute defense, and can empower subordinates.

Domi Reversi is a demonic soul-manipulating dark magic that enslaves any powerful enemy under Imu’s control. This skill once subdued even Rocks D. Xebec.

The combination of Omen’s black flames and Domi Reversi’s dark magic grants Imu immortality and invincibility across centuries, earning the top spot among the divine beings of the Void Century.
