The Dragon Ball franchise surprised fans by officially revealing a brand-new variant of Goku’s Ultra Instinct form. What stands out is that this form not only features a distinct appearance but also carries a surprisingly long name: Ultra Supervillain, Quelled.
This new state debuts in the final story chapter of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, a game that has accompanied fans for nearly a decade and is about to conclude to make way for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.
Goku’s Ultra Supervillain form without corruption

In the latest updates of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Bandai Namco introduced a new power called Ultra Supervillain.
This form harnesses dark energy crystallized into special crystals, a power that has helped characters like Vegeta and Jiren achieve immense strength but often comes with the risk of being consumed by darkness.
However, Goku’s case is completely different.
Instead of being corrupted by this dark energy, Goku manages to control it and merges it with Ultra Instinct, creating a completely new variant called Ultra Supervillain, Quelled.

Thanks to his control over the dark energy, the crystals on Goku’s body glow brighter, symbolizing that he retains his heroic nature instead of turning into a villain like others who have used this power.
The developers have yet to reveal exactly how much stronger this form is compared to the regular Ultra Instinct, but it’s certainly one of Goku’s most notable upgrades in the game.
Final chapter of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
After nearly 10 years since its release, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is set to conclude with its final story update.
Throughout its lifespan, the game has continually expanded the Dragon Ball universe with new storylines and introduced many power forms never seen in the manga or anime.
The arrival of Ultra Supervillain, Quelled is seen as a memorable farewell before the series moves forward with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, a project expected to open a new chapter for the franchise.
Ultra Instinct Goku continues to shine

Ultra Instinct Goku is not only appearing in the game but is also set to return on screen as the Dragon Ball Super anime continues.
The upcoming anime, titled Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol, will adapt the Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc from the manga.
The story takes place after the events of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, where Goku and Vegeta team up with the Galactic Patrol to capture the dangerous criminal Moro, also known as the “Planet Eater.”
Moro is considered one of the most terrifying villains the Saiyan duo has faced. With ancient magic and the ability to absorb energy from entire planets, he forces Goku to push the limits of Ultra Instinct.
Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol has yet to announce an official release date. However, with numerous new projects planned to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Dragon Ball manga, fans can look forward to an exciting new era for this legendary franchise.
