The introduction of God Ki in Dragon Ball Super marked a turning point that changed the entire power scale of the series. Possessing God Ki transforms a mortal warrior into a true god, reaching levels no one dared to imagine during the Dragon Ball Z era.
Goku and Vegeta have now risen to divine levels to compete with the strongest beings across the multiverse. Through intense training, using Dragon Balls, or risking their lives to unlock ultimate transformations, some mortals have officially surpassed the gods.
1. Jiren

Jiren’s terrifying power in the Tournament of Power is confirmed by the author: he is stronger than Belmod, the God of Destruction of Universe 11. Notably, Belmod ranks as the third strongest god across the multiverse, meaning Jiren surpasses 83% of all Gods of Destruction, only behind Beerus and Quitela.
In the Dragon Ball Super manga, during the Tournament of Power, Jiren’s strength far exceeds Goku’s. He even pushed Goku out of Ultra Instinct and almost eliminated him if Vegeta hadn’t intervened. Remember, Jiren never used his full power. If he fought at full strength, this Universe 11 warrior could easily stand above all gods.
2. Granolah

The last survivor of the Cerealian race, Granolah harbors deep hatred for the Saiyans. In the Granolah the Survivor arc, he used the Dragon Balls of Planet Cereal to wish to become the strongest warrior in Universe 7.
By sacrificing most of his remaining lifespan, Granolah gained destructive power. Although his wish was designed not to surpass the Gods of Destruction or Angels, Granolah broke limits when facing Goku and Vegeta. In his Full Power state with both eyes awakened, he nearly defeated both Goku’s Ultra Instinct and Vegeta’s Ultra Ego.
3. Gas

Following Granolah’s example, Elec gathered Dragon Balls to make his brother Gas the strongest being in the universe. However, Gas’s wish was unique because his power automatically adapts and increases to always surpass any opponent he faces.
Thanks to this, Gas instantly awakened energy far beyond most Gods of Destruction. By the end of the manga chapters, Gas’s body continuously evolved to overpower Goku, Vegeta, and Granolah in turn. He could even use divine techniques like Hakai effortlessly. Gas’s only downfall was a variable: Frieza was outside Universe 7 when the wish was made, so Gas’s power couldn’t adapt to Black Frieza’s form in time.
4. Orange Piccolo

Like Granolah and Gas, Piccolo’s leap in power in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero came from the Dragon Balls. Initially, Piccolo only wished to unlock his hidden potential, but Shenron granted him a brand-new form: Orange Piccolo.
The author confirmed that Orange Piccolo’s power rivals Goku’s perfected Ultra Instinct and Vegeta’s Ultra Ego. This is remarkable because Piccolo caught up to two Saiyan warriors who were already close to Beerus’s level, and he did it without any God Ki.
5. Broly

Broly’s potential is insanely wild. Without any formal training, he easily crushed Goku and Vegeta’s godly forms using just his basic Super Saiyan form. When he reached Legendary Super Saiyan, Goku believed Broly had surpassed Beerus.
To defeat Broly, Goku and Vegeta had to fuse into Gogeta. Even then, Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta struggled to finish the fight. In the latest manga chapters, Broly can now control and use his Legendary Super Saiyan form at will, officially placing him above most gods.
6. Gohan Beast

Gohan is at his peak thanks to the Gohan Beast form introduced in Super Hero. It’s considered one of the strongest transformations in the entire franchise, surpassing Ultra Instinct, Ultra Ego, Orange Piccolo, and Broly.
Gohan Beast’s power is so immense that the Angel Whis once said he’s the perfect candidate to replace Beerus as Universe 7’s God of Destruction. In chapter 103 of the manga, Gohan Beast pushed Goku out of Ultra Instinct and forced Broly to use all his strength in a fierce battle.
7. Black Frieza

Frieza has always been a natural genius, but he truly became a monster after discovering training in Dragon Ball Super. After four months of training, he reached godly levels. After ten years of relentless training in the Room of Spirit and Time in another dimension, he returned as Black Frieza.
Black Frieza is currently the ultimate warrior, easily one-hitting both Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta without breaking a sweat. His power limit remains a big mystery.
