While the Squid Game craze shows no signs of slowing down, Netflix has unveiled its next big survival puzzle hit. That’s the third season of Alice in Borderland, the Japanese sensation that made a huge impact since its debut in December 2020.
The first trailer for this season is now live, revealing that the deadly games are far from over, and the nightmare for the protagonist Arisu will continue rather than end as many had assumed.

Although the trailer doesn’t reveal much about the plot of Alice in Borderland season 3, it’s clear that the main duo, Arisu and Usagi, will return. Their relationship has reached its peak with marriage, following the events of the previous season.
However, when Usagi suddenly disappears under mysterious circumstances, Arisu must do everything he can to find and rescue his muse. This leads him back to Borderland, a world with no escape, where he faces terrifying games that go beyond the usual J, Q, K card levels.
In the original manga, specifically the Retry arc, the Joker card represents a mysterious entity rather than a typical game master. This card holds the key to understanding why some players, like Arisu and Usagi, retain vague memories of Borderland events, as hinted in the trailer.

Alice in Borderland season 3 welcomes back Kento Yamazaki (Arisu), Tao Tsuchiya (Usagi), along with Hayato Isomura, Ayaka Miyoshi, Katsuya Maiguma, Koji Ohkura, Risa Sudou, Hiroyuki Ikeuchi, Tina Tamashiro, Kotaro Daigo, Hyunri, Sakura Kiryu, Yugo Mikawa, Joey Iwanaga, Akana Ikeda, and Kento Kaku.
The new season will premiere on Netflix on September 25 this year.
