For many years, the Doraemon series has been more than just childhood memories for millions of readers. It has become a treasure trove of friendship, wisdom, and life lessons. While discussions used to focus mainly on the characters’ IQ, nowadays emotional intelligence (EQ) is gaining attention. After all, living happily and understanding how to manage relationships is just as important as being smart. So, what if we ranked the EQ of Doraemon’s friend group? Here’s how it might look.

1. Shizuka

If EQ means empathy, sensitivity, and caring, Shizuka is the clear champion of the group. She always appears gentle and kind, ready to listen and help her friends. Even when Nobita is clumsy, Shizuka rarely shows frustration and instead offers encouragement. Her warmth and tactful behavior make everyone want to be around her. It’s no coincidence she’s been the nation’s beloved crush for generations. Her high EQ helps her balance relationships and spread joy to others.

2. Doraemon

As the group’s protector, Doraemon has impressive EQ. Although he often gets annoyed by Nobita’s troublemaking, the robotic cat knows how to control his emotions and find solutions. Doraemon’s strength lies in his foresight, weighing pros and cons, and managing group emotions. Without him, the friends might fall apart over small conflicts. His EQ shines in balancing strictness with kindness. He may scold Nobita sometimes, but he’s also the one who quietly supports him the most.

3. Suneo

Suneo is often disliked for bragging and following Jaian’s lead. But from an EQ perspective, he’s quite good at reading situations. He knows how to flatter, pick sides to protect himself, and charm adults skillfully. His EQ is more about being clever than genuinely positive, but it shows he understands others’ emotions and can turn situations to his advantage. In real life, Suneo might be great at networking and social skills. Unfortunately, he often uses this to tease Nobita, which costs him points.

4. Jaian

Jaian is known for his hot temper, quick anger, and bullying friends. On the surface, his EQ would rank last. But to be fair, he’s not heartless. When real danger strikes, Jaian dares to risk himself to protect his friends, revealing a caring heart beneath his tough exterior. His EQ is low in anger management but high in loyalty. High EQ doesn’t always mean being gentle, it’s about knowing when to be firm and when to be soft. Jaian has shown this in some special moments.

5. Nobita

Everyone assumes Nobita has low EQ because he’s clumsy, cries easily, and gets bullied. But looking closer, Nobita actually has a unique kind of EQ. He’s highly empathetic and sensitive to others’ feelings. Nobita cares for animals and is willing to give up his favorite things to make others happy.

Especially notable is his amazing ability to forgive. Despite being bullied by Jaian and Suneo many times, he always comes back to play with them. This shows a forgiving heart that many adults struggle to have. Saying Nobita has low EQ only applies to his lack of self-control. In kindness and empathy, he surprises everyone.

Overall Ranking:

– Shizuka: Number 1, highest EQ thanks to her sensitivity and kindness.

– Doraemon: Number 2, EQ tied to responsibility and group balance.

– Suneo: Number 3, clever EQ but lacking sincerity.

– Nobita: Number 4, surprising for his empathy, only behind in weakness.

– Jaian: Number 5, low EQ due to temper, but loyal.

This ranking might make many rethink their views. It turns out that in this mischievous group, each character has a distinct form of EQ. Emotional intelligence isn’t just about smooth talk but also about how we care, empathize, and stay loyal to others.
