After 36 years since his debut, the Dragon Ball franchise has finally revealed Frieza’s strongest form. Surprisingly, this new form is not Black Frieza but an entirely new version appearing in the video game Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
On October 30, Golden Frieza (Ultra Supervillain) will be playable in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as part of the upcoming DLC titled FUTURE SAGA Chapter 3.
Dragon Ball to Launch Frieza’s Strongest Form on October 30
On Tuesday, October 28, Bandai Namco US’s official X account announced that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will release the FUTURE SAGA Chapter 3 DLC on October 30. The announcement included a trailer giving fans their first look at Broly (DB Super) and Golden Frieza (Ultra Supervillain).

As fans know, Frieza’s current strongest form is “Black Frieza,” which first appeared in the Dragon Ball Super manga. However, since this form has yet to be adapted into the anime, it hasn’t been officially included in video games.
To offer fans a form similar to this iconic transformation, Bandai Namco created the Golden Frieza (Ultra Supervillain) form. This version closely resembles Black Frieza but has been uniquely adapted for the game.
This is evident in the trailer, where the new Golden Frieza (Ultra Supervillain) transformation is basically Golden Frieza with some color elements inspired by Black Frieza. The main difference is the pink crystal embedded on Frieza’s left chest, a signature feature of Fu’s Supervillain form.
As revealed in the trailer, Fu and Frieza team up in FUTURE SAGA Chapter 3, allowing Frieza to unlock his new most powerful transformation. But Frieza doesn’t stop there, he also prays to Shenron and controls Broly to carry out his orders.
