The film Red Rain, directed by Dang Thai Huyen with a screenplay by writer Chu Lai, is gaining attention for its depiction of the 81-day battle at Quang Tri Citadel in 1972. The movie features many young actors, with Le Ha Anh standing out as the only female lead.
In Red Rain, Ha Anh plays Hong, a symbol of many young female volunteers during the war. Small but courageous, she braves bombs and gunfire to help soldiers cross the river. The director asked Ha Anh to appear without makeup to present the most authentic and natural image to the audience.
Ha Anh shared that she cherished the moment she was invited to audition for Red Rain and immediately flew to Hanoi to seize the opportunity. She revealed that her grandfather died in Quang Tri, and this role is her tribute to her family and the fallen heroes who sacrificed for the country’s peace.
Le Ha Anh, born in 1995, is known for her stunning looks. She started as a photo model in 2011 and competed in the Fashion Star contest that same year. In 2017, she made her acting debut in the film The Girl from Yesterday and later starred in Love, Don’t Be Afraid alongside Nha Phuong.
