Marvel Studios recently released the latest trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, offering exciting new details and stunning footage from the upcoming blockbuster.
The spotlight of this trailer is on Galactus, who is believed to be the main villain in Fantastic Four’s MCU debut. First introduced in the comics in 1966 by the legendary duo Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Galactus remains one of Marvel’s most iconic and powerful antagonists. The character continues to appear in modern storylines, including a recent arc involving Doctor Doom, another villain set to enter the MCU soon.
Previously, the 2007 film Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer disappointed fans by depicting Galactus as a vague cloud that appeared only briefly. This time, Marvel Studios has gone all out, creating a Galactus that closely matches the original design, blending practical costumes and props with cutting-edge visual effects.

The trailer also delves deeper into the family aspect, a theme that has been central to the Fantastic Four for decades. Alongside the four main members, Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm, it hints at the arrival of the Richards family’s first child, likely Franklin Richards.
Additionally, the new footage suggests that Galactus might actually win this battle, forcing the Fantastic Four to retreat into an alternate timeline. This leads them to Earth-616, the main reality of the MCU, directly connecting to the post-credit scene of Thunderbolts.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Julia Garner as Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson as Galactus.
The film is set to premiere on July 25 this year.
