One Piece chapter 1191 marks a tense turning point at Elbaf. After Gaban sacrifices his arm to protect Luffy from Imu, this moment unexpectedly recalls an important childhood memory for the Straw Hat captain: the time Shanks lost his left arm to save him.
Meanwhile, Imu continues to showcase overwhelming power by transforming into a more terrifying form, preparing to finish off both Gaban and Luffy.
Imu reveals a monstrous new form

According to the reveals in chapter 1191, Imu escalates the fight with Gaban to a new level. The character appears in a gigantic, more fearsome form.
He grows two massive horns resembling those of Hellboy. Combined with his original two horns, Imu now sports a total of four.
The transformation extends beyond his head. A sharp goat-like beard grows on his chin, and a necklace featuring three horned skulls appears on his chest. Notably, the three horned skulls that used to be on Imu’s pants have vanished, likely relocated to the necklace.
The spiked arm bands on his elbows also change into fiery rings with eyes, similar to the flaming ring previously seen behind Imu’s back. This fiery ring now surrounds his waist, making Imu’s new appearance even more demonic and imposing.
This transformation becomes even more dangerous as Gaban has just paid a heavy price to stop Imu from reaching Luffy.
Hajrudin arrives, Luffy gains new allies against Imu
Imu recognizes Gaban as a former member of Roger’s pirate crew whom he encountered at God Valley. Instead of underestimating the aging warrior, Imu acknowledges Gaban’s incredible strength and even regrets not eliminating him along with Rocks D. Xebec earlier.
Despite losing his left arm, Gaban remains confident. This injury feels less like a sign of defeat and more like a scar earned by standing up to protect the next generation of pirates.

The tension at Elbaf rises as Gaban urges Luffy and the Straw Hats to retreat while he stays behind to hold off Imu. Luffy refuses to leave Gaban behind, but Imu immediately attacks both with the Honebami sword.

Just then, Hajrudin appears and strikes Imu with his Gunir attack, knocking him back. However, Imu quickly regains balance midair and counters with his Omen Armament. Having faced this move before, Hajrudin blocks it with his shield, though the force shatters the shield.

Imu continues to launch multiple Omen Armament attacks toward Luffy, Gaban, and Hajrudin. Hajrudin steps forward to shield the others, determined to protect them with his own body. Gaban tells him to retreat, but Hajrudin refuses to back down. He declares that even if he falls, Loki will still be there.

Right after this, Loki appears. At the same time, Luffy fully recovers thanks to the food he ate earlier. The three then combine their efforts to unleash the “Gokoku Sovereignty (Triple Command – Oanh Quốc)” attack, striking Imu together.
One Piece will take a break next week with no new chapter.
