The ability to fly is one of the rarest and most formidable powers in the world of One Piece. Not only does it give the user exceptional mobility, but mastering the skies also offers a huge advantage in battle and pursuit. So far, many Devil Fruits grant flight in various ways, from transforming into winged creatures to controlling special elements.
Here are 11 standout Devil Fruits with this power.
1. Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Falcon

This is the Devil Fruit of Pell, the royal guard of Alabasta. When activated, Pell can transform into a falcon and freely soar through the sky.
Pell once claimed only five Devil Fruits granted flight. However, as the story expanded, more powers like this appeared, sparking years of debate until Eiichiro Oda clarified that was Pell’s limited knowledge at the time.
2. Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix

Marco wields one of the strongest Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits. Besides transforming into a blue phoenix to fly at high speeds, he can produce regenerative flames that heal wounds. This near-limitless healing makes Marco a formidable opponent on the battlefield.
3. Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Pteranodon

King possesses this ancient Zoan Devil Fruit. Although a Lunarian with iconic black wings, his true flight ability comes from transforming into a giant Pteranodon. This lets him dive at incredible speeds, combining physical strength and Lunarian flames for devastating attacks.
4. Fuwa Fuwa no Mi

Shiki the “Golden Lion” has a unique Paramecia ability. Not only can he float himself, but the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi lets him make any object he touches lose gravity. From warships to boulders and even islands, Shiki can levitate massive objects at will.
5. Guru Guru no Mi

Buffalo from the Donquixote crew ate the Guru Guru no Mi. This power turns parts of his body or clothing into rapidly spinning propellers, allowing him to fly like a living helicopter. Though it looks comical, it’s a highly useful transport method for the Doflamingo family.
6. Gasu Gasu no Mi

Caesar Clown uses this Logia gas fruit, allowing him to turn his body into gas to float and move through the air. While his combat power isn’t overwhelming against strong foes, his mobility is impressive thanks to his gaseous form.
7. Moku Moku no Mi

Smoker also has a Logia Devil Fruit with similar abilities. By turning his lower body into smoke, he can swiftly move through the air to chase targets. Before the timeskip, this made him a nightmare for pirates.
8. Susu Susu no Mi

Karasu of the Revolutionary Army ate the Susu Susu no Mi. This Logia fruit lets him transform into soot and create countless black crows flying across the battlefield. His ability to split into many forms makes him extremely agile in combat and reconnaissance.
9. Uma Uma no Mi, Model: Pegasus

After eating this Mythical Zoan fruit, Stronger, Doc Q’s horse, can transform into a Pegasus. This gives the once sickly horse the ability to fly, serving as Blackbeard’s airborne transport.
10. Lafitte’s Mysterious Devil Fruit

Oda has yet to reveal exactly which Devil Fruit Lafitte ate. Fans only know he can sprout white wings from his back to fly. Combined with his stealth and infiltration skills, Lafitte is one of Blackbeard’s most unpredictable crew members.
11. Marcus Mars’ Itsumade Ability

Marcus Mars, one of the Five Elders, can transform into a giant creature resembling the Itsumade demon.
He is the only confirmed member of the Five Elders who can truly fly, allowing him to pursue targets even across the sea. However, it remains unclear if this is from a Devil Fruit or another special power.
Abilities That Are Almost Flight But Not Quite
Beyond these 11, One Piece features many powers that let users operate in the air in unique ways.
For example, Kaido’s Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu lets him appear to fly in dragon form, but he actually stands on clouds of fire he creates. Killingham uses a similar method with his Kirin ability.
Meanwhile, Doflamingo “flies” by hooking his Ito Ito no Mi strings onto clouds to move through the air. Though not truly free-flying, he still has terrifying aerial mobility.
