Sony has officially announced an R-rated Bloodborne animated film. Produced by PlayStation Productions and featuring popular YouTuber Jacksepticeye, the president of Sony Pictures Entertainment promises the movie will stay true to the core Gothic horror style.
When it comes to Bloodborne, how could we forget the bosses, true nightmares that visually torment audiences on the big screen?
Here are the Top 5 Bloodborne bosses most deserving to appear in the upcoming animated masterpiece, ranked by their horror factor and cinematic potential.
5. Cleric Beast

No Bloodborne adaptation would feel complete without the Cleric Beast. This is usually the first major boss players face upon entering Yharnam. Its heart-wrenching roar and grotesque form serve as the harshest warning of the madness that pervades this world.
In the film, Cleric Beast would be the perfect choice for the opening, setting a dark tone and chilling Gothic atmosphere for the entire story.
4. Father Gascoigne

After Cleric Beast, Father Gascoigne is the key figure shaping the story. Once a fellow hunter, Gascoigne is corrupted by the blood curse. His image represents the harshest truth: those sworn to protect Yharnam are ultimately consumed by it.
A three-stage battle between two hunters in animated form would surely be one of the most thrilling and emotionally charged action scenes.
3. Rom, The Vacuous Spider

Bloodborne’s appeal lies heavily in its Lovecraftian horror, and no fight showcases this better than the battle with Rom. Beneath the still waters under the moonlight, Rom and its swarm of spiders create a chilling scene.
Defeating Rom turns the moon blood red, permanently altering Yharnam’s world, a pivotal moment any director would want to bring to life on an IMAX screen.
2. Micolash, Host of the Nightmare

Micolash is more than a boss, he’s a unique experience. A scholar trapped within a nightmare, endlessly fleeing through infinite corridors while screaming mad philosophies. In animation, Micolash’s eerie nature will be elevated, especially through voice acting, deeply portraying the decay of the human mind in Bloodborne’s world.
1. Gehrman, The First Hunter

Depending on your choices, Gehrman can be the final boss. As a mentor and guide, but also the keeper of the darkest secrets of the hunter’s dream, the battle with Gehrman carries immense emotional weight.
A Bloodborne film would be incomplete without this fateful confrontation, where respect and pain intertwine amid a field of white flowers, creating a deeply moving finale.
