Ging Freecss has long been regarded as one of the most skilled Nen users in the world of Hunter x Hunter, but what makes him truly special isn’t just his strength, it’s his incredibly rare natural talent.
According to Ging himself, he can copy Nen techniques that have hit him before. This was proven when Ging took Leorio’s Remote Punch directly. Not only did he successfully recreate the move, but he quickly grasped its underlying principles and came up with new applications, such as using it like a form of “sonar” to detect targets.
So, if Ging had been hit by more Nen attacks in Hunter x Hunter, which techniques could he copy? Here are four of the most notable.
1. Jajanken: Rock

Unfortunately, Gon has never used Jajanken: Rock against his father.
If Ging had ever taken this punch and survived, he might have created a completely new version of this famous technique.
Essentially, Rock focuses a large amount of energy into the fist before releasing it in a powerful strike. With Ging’s intellect, replicating the move likely wouldn’t be a big challenge.
What’s more interesting is that he could analyze how Jajanken works and develop new variations, similar to Paper or Scissors, or even invent something entirely different from Gon’s style. Ging’s approach shows he doesn’t just copy techniques, he studies their core principles before making them his own.
2. Isaac Netero’s First Hand

First Hand is one of the signature attacks of Isaac Netero’s 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva.
At its core, it’s still a Nen strike, so theoretically it’s a technique Ging could learn.
Of course, that doesn’t mean Ging could create a Guanyin Bodhisattva as powerful as Netero’s. This technique is the result of decades of intense training and martial arts enlightenment by the Hunter Association Chairman.
Still, Ging could fully understand the mechanics behind the move and then develop a similar attack that fits his own fighting style.
Notably, Ging was once a member of the Zodiac, a group that often trained alongside Netero. So it’s entirely possible he has experienced some of these blows firsthand.
3. Big Bang Impact

This is the famous technique of Uvogin, the physically strongest member of the Phantom Troupe.
Big Bang Impact is essentially a punch enhanced by a massive amount of aura energy. Combined with Uvogin’s extraordinary physical strength, each strike hits like an explosion.
The biggest question isn’t whether Ging could copy this technique, but whether he could survive taking a full hit.
If he could, Ging would likely optimize Big Bang Impact to be more versatile. Instead of focusing solely on raw power like Uvogin, he might adjust the aura to deliver precise, energy-efficient strikes.
4. Ripper Cyclotron

Phinks Magcub’s technique is another fascinating candidate.
The power of Ripper Cyclotron increases with the number of arm rotations before the punch. Just a few spins allow Phinks to take down incredibly tough Chimera Ants with a single hit. Again, the key is whether Ging could survive being hit.
If he could, Ging might even use the technique more effectively than Phinks. Phinks himself admitted he sometimes struggles to gauge how many spins are needed to deliver just the right amount of force, leading to attacks that are either too strong or not strong enough.
In contrast, Ging’s renowned analytical skills could let him precisely calculate the optimal number of rotations for each situation, turning Ripper Cyclotron into a much more efficient and flexible skill.
