Uzumaki Himawari is quickly becoming one of the most intriguing characters in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Once known mainly as Naruto’s daughter, Himawari has now gained special significance with Kurama residing within her. The manga has also highlighted her unusual potential, even compared to other members of the Uzumaki clan.
More notably, official sources directly link this potential to the combination of her Uzumaki and Hyuga bloodlines. While calling her upcoming power upgrade “god-level” remains speculation, the foundation for a major leap in strength is clearly in place.
Uzumaki and Hyuga heritage could unlock Himawari’s full Kurama power

The key clue isn’t just that Himawari hosts Kurama, but the unique nature of her bond with the Nine-Tails compared to Naruto’s. Carrying both Uzumaki and Hyuga blood, the official Boruto page explains that these two lineages create a synergistic effect with Kurama’s chakra.
This detail stands out, especially since Himawari is only beginning to understand her own abilities.
It also partly explains Daemon’s strong reaction when facing Himawari, even before anyone knew Kurama had returned. Daemon sensed a massive power within her, while official explanations focus on Himawari’s future potential rather than just Kurama’s presence.
In other words, Himawari was special even before she could consciously access Kurama’s chakra.
This situation becomes even more interesting when compared to Naruto’s journey. Naruto spent years learning to control Kurama’s power, eventually building one of the strongest bonds in the franchise. Meanwhile, Himawari seems to have an unusually natural compatibility with the Tailed Beast.
Kurama’s rebirth inside Himawari also happened remarkably quickly, despite official explanations that a Tailed Beast typically needs hundreds or even thousands of years to return.
Because of this, the manga has given Himawari more than just a new transformation. She inherits the connection between Naruto and Kurama while bringing a completely different genetic foundation to the relationship. This could create terrifying power once she truly masters it.
Kurama bond could elevate Himawari to god-level ninja in Boruto

The most exciting part is that Himawari’s story with Kurama seems just beginning. Two Blue Vortex confirms she can access the Nine-Tails’ chakra, but possessing power and mastering it are very different. Early displays suggest she has an exceptionally deep compatibility with Kurama, meaning her abilities have plenty of room to grow.
Official manga content also deliberately places Himawari at the center. When Jura and Hidari attack Konoha, Himawari becomes a key target. The story uses this confrontation to reveal her connection to Kurama.
This is clearly not how a side character’s role would be built.
Kishimoto’s involvement is worth mentioning, though it’s important to understand his exact role. VIZ officially credits Masashi Kishimoto as “Creator/Supervisor” of Two Blue Vortex, while Mikio Ikemoto handles the illustration. So it would be an overstatement to say Kishimoto draws every scene involving Himawari.
Still, the story is developing under his official supervision, making Himawari’s sudden rise in importance and power unlikely to be just a passing power boost.
If Himawari can ultimately combine Kurama’s immense chakra with her Uzumaki and Hyuga heritage, she could become a character the franchise has never seen before.
No “final form” has been confirmed yet. However, the necessary elements are in place. Right now, Himawari seems to be gradually discovering her true strength.
If the story continues to develop along these revealed potentials, another Uzumaki could become one of the most formidable ninjas of her generation.
