The world of One Piece features a vast variety of powers, but the Paramecia type always surprises fans with its surreal concepts. Unlike Logia, which controls elements, or Zoan, which focuses on transformations, Paramecia twists the laws of physics.
Normally, Paramecia powers affect only the user’s body, but when they reach Awakening, they can turn the surrounding environment into a “dead zone.” Just look at how Doflamingo turned all of Dressrosa into strings or how Katakuri transformed everything into mochi to see how terrifying this can be.
So what would happen if these “superpowers” reached Awakening?
1. Bara Bara no Mi (Buggy)
Don’t be fooled by Buggy’s comedic appearance. His body can’t be cut apart now, but if awakened, he could theoretically split any object around him into pieces without touching it.
Imagine a battlefield where the ground, weapons, and even opponents’ bodies are forcibly torn apart piece by piece.
2. Sube Sube no Mi (Alvida)
Alvida’s slippery ability might sound simple, but if awakened, she could make an entire area completely frictionless. The ground would be impossible to stand on, weapons couldn’t be held, and techniques requiring a solid base like Rokushiki would become useless. She’d be a nightmare for any close-range fighter.
3. Sabi Sabi no Mi (Shu)
Colonel Shu shocked fans by destroying Zoro’s Yubashiri sword with just a touch. If his rust power awakened and spread to the environment, all fine swords, warships, and armor around would instantly corrode without direct contact.
4. Gura Gura no Mi (Whitebeard/Blackbeard)
This fruit is already incredibly powerful, but if truly awakened, its shockwaves wouldn’t just crack space. It could trigger earthquakes and tsunamis on a global scale with pinpoint precision, turning entire lands into rubble with a single thought.
5. Bomu Bomu no Mi (Mr. 5)
Mr. 5’s body is a walking bomb. When awakened, he could turn the air or ground into explosives. Every step an enemy takes or every breath they draw could trigger a massive explosion. There would be nowhere safe.
6. Doku Doku no Mi (Magellan)
Magellan once single-handedly defeated the entire Blackbeard crew in seconds. Awakening would let him turn land, water, and air into concentrated poison. Enemies wouldn’t just face Magellan but a permanent “dead zone” where every cell decays instantly upon contact.
7. Hobi Hobi no Mi (Sugar)
Sugar’s power is already broken, turning people into toys with a touch. If awakened, she could cause mass transformations within a range without touching anyone. Entire armies could become dolls in an instant and be erased from the world’s memory immediately.
8. Noro Noro no Mi (Foxy)
The Noro Noro beam currently slows targets for 30 seconds. But when awakened, it could create a permanent “Slow Zone.” Every sword strike, bullet, or Haki reaction would be delayed, turning opponents into motionless targets before the user.
