After six months dominating the charts, the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo sequel has officially wrapped up with chapter 25. Since its debut in September 2025, the collaboration between writer Gege Akutami and illustrator Yuji Iwasaki sparked a true sensation, becoming one of the most successful debuts in Weekly Shonen Jump history.

The Perfect Partnership of Akutami and Iwasaki
Yuji Iwasaki, known for his work on Cipher Academy, proved to be the ideal fit for Akutami’s jujutsu world. His detailed, dark yet artistic panels elevated the Modulo storyline to new heights.
After the final chapter was released, Iwasaki shared a beautiful tribute image on his personal X account, depicting Yuka, Maru, Tsurugi, and Cross holding hands, recalling the moment they all supported Maru during the ritual. While he hasn’t announced his next project, Iwasaki promised to return soon after a well-deserved break.
An Open-Ended Finale: Is Dabura Back?
Although the series officially ended, chapter 25 left fans buzzing over a major cliffhanger. The story closes with Kyoko Tomoe reflecting on a broken romance as Dabura returns to Simuria to protect Yuka and handle internal affairs of the Deskunte tribe.
The final panel captures Kyoko and Yuka’s shocked expressions as they spot a mysterious stranger. All clues suggest Dabura has come back to find Kyoko after completing a memorial tomb honoring Dura as a hero.
The Future of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Remains Uncertain
Even though the main story has ended, fans hope for an additional epilogue or special side story to be included in the final volume. The original Jujutsu Kaisen series previously added four extra chapters in Volume 30 to resolve loose ends.
Many questions remain unanswered in Modulo. What is the fate of Iori Okkotsu and Megumi Fushiguro? Where will Yuji Itadori’s new path lead? These details could be explored if the creators decide to release a multi-chapter epilogue.
Volume 3, the final volume of the series, is scheduled for release on May 1, 2026.
