Jujutsu Kaisen ended almost a year ago, leaving many fans heartbroken with its controversial finale. Although the ending wasn’t ideal (likely rushed due to Gege Akutami’s health), the battle with Sukuna remained intense and stands as one of the best fights in recent Shonen history.
The most thrilling part of that battle was definitely Sukuna versus Gojo, a matchup fans have eagerly discussed and can’t wait to see animated. This fight brought together the strongest figures from two different eras and perfectly showcased the essence of Jujutsu Sorcery.
Unfortunately, both Gojo and Sukuna fell during the Shinjuku Showdown arc. However, in the next chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami has introduced a new character described as a threat on par with Sukuna. Considering his vast army, this character might even surpass Gojo.
Gojo is powerful, but the Simurian King might be on another level
Gojo Satoru is a legend in Jujutsu Kaisen. Born with the clan’s two strongest abilities, the Six Eyes and Limitless, Gojo is nearly unbeatable, as has been clear over the years.
Although Gojo was defeated by Sukuna in the Shinjuku Showdown arc, many fans argue this doesn’t prove Sukuna is stronger. They point out Sukuna needed Mahoraga’s help and took advantage of Gojo’s distraction to land a fatal blow. Still, it’s undeniable their powers were astonishingly close.
Now, in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, Gege has introduced a new villain called the Simurian King.
The Simurian King is described as a threat equal to Sukuna when fighting alone. But he commands an army of 50,000 alien soldiers. This massive force could overwhelm even Gojo, humanity’s strongest sorcerer.
Can the new main characters in Jujutsu Kaisen defeat an enemy on Gojo’s level?
With the enormous threat posed by the Simurian King and Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo only spanning three chapters, fans are skeptical about how characters like Yuka and Tsurugi can defeat such a powerful villain. Currently, they are still struggling against basic curses.
Yuka and Tsurugi need to quickly grow stronger, but that alone won’t be enough. They’ll need powerful allies. So far, they have support from Maru, a fairly strong sorcerer. They might also find help from alien defectors along the way if they’re lucky.
More importantly, Yuka and Tsurugi could receive aid from surviving legends like Yuji Itadori. Yuji might still be alive and has now become a sorcerer on par with Gojo and Sukuna. Only he might be able to turn the tide in favor of the sorcerers.
