The Dragon Ball Genki Dama Festival is buzzing with excitement, and just as fans hoped, a major announcement has dropped. While the community is still captivated by Goku’s adventures in the Demon Realm in Dragon Ball Daima, news of the main Dragon Ball Super storyline returning has stunned everyone.
This explosive reveal came early in the event, featuring some of the biggest names: the legendary voice actress Masako Nozawa (Goku’s voice) and producer Akio Iyoku.
The next anime installment will be officially titled Dragon Ball Super: Galactic Patrol Arc. This adapts the Moro arc (Galactic Patrol Prisoner), which has been a huge hit in the manga.
Producer Akio Iyoku confirmed, “We decided to create an anime adaptation for this story from the manga.” Production is already underway, though the release date remains under wraps.
The new anime will pick up right after the Universe Survival arc, which ended in 2018. This time, Goku and Vegeta join the Galactic Patrol to hunt down a dangerous criminal who escaped after millions of years in captivity: Moro.
Moro is unlike any enemy before. He is an ancient sorcerer who can absorb life energy from entire planets. This means Saiyan-based Ki powers will face a formidable challenge.
To keep fans clear on the timeline, this anime is set immediately after Dragon Ball Super: Broly and before the events of the movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
Because of this sequence, loyal fans shouldn’t expect to see powerful forms like Gohan Beast or Orange Piccolo here. Instead, the story will focus on Goku and Vegeta’s intense training and development of new fighting techniques aimed at countering Moro’s overwhelming energy-absorbing magic.
Bringing the Moro arc to anime not only satisfies fans’ hunger for new content but also promises spectacular battles on a cosmic scale, true to Dragon Ball Super’s style.
