Amid all the chaos unfolding in One Piece, some characters spark more curiosity than others, and Blackbeard is definitely one of them. After defeating Trafalgar Law, fans are wondering what Blackbeard’s next move will be. While many expect him to go after Shanks, the reality is quite different.
Blackbeard Is On The Move Again

A clash between Shanks and Blackbeard is inevitable in One Piece, as Oda has long planned. However, that battle won’t happen just yet. Given the current situation, Blackbeard has set his sights on a different target, and his agent investigating on his behalf is none other than Lafitte.
Lafitte is currently monitoring the movements of the Navy and the Revolutionary Army from Umit Port, located right next to the Red Line. He’s especially focused on the siege of the Revolutionary Army. This suggests Blackbeard and his crew have a major plan in motion, likely connected directly to the sacred land of Marijoa.
Blackbeard May Target Imu Before Shanks

One Piece fans know how important the concept of the Will of D. is to the story. Just as Luffy inherited the will of Roger and Joy Boy, Blackbeard has inherited the will of someone else, Rocks D. Xebec.
This theory once seemed vague, but now that Teach has been officially confirmed as Rocks’ son in the story, along with the deep respect he shows for his father, there’s no doubt Blackbeard is carrying out Rocks’ legacy.
Chapter 1155 revealed a meeting between Rocks and Imu. Although they didn’t fight, Rocks promised to return to the Flower Capital and claim the throne. Rocks is dead, but Teach is not. More importantly, Blackbeard’s current actions around Marijoa strongly imply that his true target is Imu.
Blackbeard Could Be The Final Villain
Blackbeard may launch an attack on Marijoa during the Elbaf arc or even later. It’s worth noting that Imu recently declared Marijoa is burning in flames. Most fans associate this with the Revolutionary Army, but it’s also possible that Blackbeard and his crew are behind the chaos. If that’s the case, Imu could be in serious trouble, as Blackbeard will likely try to steal his Devil Fruit powers.
