From finally revealing Rocks D. Xebec to the unexpected dark origins of Loki, the latest One Piece flashback has kept fans on edge for months.
Although only six chapters into the flashback, these chapters have been packed with details not just about Loki and Harald, but also the legendary Rocks Pirates. This includes other major figures of the era, like the Kuja Pirates and their captain Shakuyaku, who might be far more important than fans initially thought.
One Piece reveals Shakuyaku’s key role in the God Valley incident

In One Piece Chapter 1157, Shakky leaves the Kuja Pirates and opens her first bar on Fullalead Island. Interestingly, many Rocks Pirates members, including Whitebeard, Shiki, John, and Don Marlon, are shown flattering Shakky. The latest chapter also reveals Shakky is called the “irreplaceable treasure” of Fullalead, hinting ominously that this “treasure” was stolen.
This suggests that the treasure Garp mentioned in Chapter 1096 related to God Valley might actually be Shakky herself. If true, fans could soon see a completely new perspective on the God Valley event and its true cause.
Over the last two chapters, Oda has emphasized the beauty and influence held by the Kuja Pirates and their captain Shakuyaku. This has left fans puzzled as the flashback shifts from Loki to Harald, then Rocks, and now Shakky. However, the latest chapter proves the flashback is building toward something significant, likely the God Valley incident.
Seeing Shakky’s influence over all the pirates on Fullalead, as well as the Rocks Pirates and Roger’s crew, it makes sense she is one of the main reasons, if not the main reason, all these pirates were drawn to God Valley.

This theory gains weight if Shakky really is the treasure Garp hinted was stolen by the Celestial Dragons in Chapter 1096. When Garp was informed about God Valley, he said he warned Fleet Admiral Kong not to interfere with the Pirate Island or their treasure. Garp even said the Fullalead residents would try to reclaim their treasure. At the time, this seemed odd. The common assumption was that the Rocks Pirates came to God Valley seeking legendary Devil Fruits Ginny revealed were there.
But with Shakky directly called the “irreplaceable treasure” of the island and hints that this treasure was definitely stolen, it seems Shakky has secretly been at the heart of the God Valley event all along. It makes much more sense that both Rocks and Roger were drawn to the island to rescue Shakuyaku, someone both were deeply infatuated with.
In the latest chapter, Shakky even stresses that the Navy is still after her despite no longer being Kuja’s captain. Given her beauty, it’s possible a World Noble also became obsessed with her and enslaved her like Ginny. If so, Shakky could be hiding one of One Piece’s darkest stories behind her youthful appearance.
