The fifth showdown between Muramasa and Ahura Mazda unfolded in a way no one expected. Although Ahura Mazda is hailed as the strongest entity in Zoroastrian mythology, the newcomer Muramasa silenced the arena with a single slash, setting the fastest victory record in Ragnarok history.

Let’s take a closer look at the shocking events in chapter 21 of Record of Ragnarok: God’s Apocalypse below.

1. The Terrifying Origin of Ahura Mazda: The Fusion of Good and Evil

Unlike the original mythology, Ahura Mazda’s birth in the story results from an eternal conflict. Initially, the forces of good led by Spenta Mainyu and the forces of evil led by Angra Mainyu were locked in an endless cycle of slaughter.

Everything changed when Azi Dahaka, the embodiment of chaos, appeared. To counter this threat, the good and evil factions merged into a new being named Ahura Mazda. With power beyond the usual boundaries of good and evil, this new god easily defeated Azi Dahaka.

2. The Birth of an Unstable “Outer God”

However, Ahura Mazda’s creation became a disaster for his own followers. Due to the extreme fusion of opposing entities, he lost all reason. He no longer identified as Spenta or Angra but as an absolute being above all.

Without hesitation, Ahura Mazda killed his own followers like Armaita (good faction) and Taurvi (evil faction). The remaining gods tried to flee but none survived his uncontrollable wrath. Thus, the legend of an unstable “Outer God,” a destroyer of his own kind, was born.

3. A Deadly Aura That Shook the Arena

Back to the present, as the battle began, Ahura Mazda charged with full force. It seemed he neither underestimated his opponent nor held back his bloodlust. He focused all his power into a single strike aimed at instantly ending Muramasa.

The sheer killing intent was so intense it made the other gods in the stands shudder, fearing they might be next once the fight ended. This showed Ahura Mazda’s level had truly reached a super-god threshold.

4. Muramasa’s Fatal Slash: Ending a Legend in 1.8 Seconds

Despite his terrifying origin and power, Ahura Mazda never got to enjoy the massacre. Contrary to the ancient god’s display, Muramasa, a young divine being born from a katana and fueled by a thirst for killing, struck in the blink of an eye.

With a single slash, Muramasa split the supreme god’s body in two, causing him to explode instantly. Even Ares thought he was hallucinating until Hermes confirmed the battle was truly over.

In the end, Muramasa won in just 1.8 seconds, a record-breaking speed never seen before in the tournament’s history. The clash between the ancient god and the young divine sword ended in the shortest and most brutal way possible.
