Marvel Studios has just released the first trailer for the animated series Marvel Zombies. Set in an alternate reality within the MCU multiverse, the story unfolds amid a zombie outbreak that has taken down even the most powerful superheroes.
Marvel Zombies can be seen as a spin-off of the animated series What If…?, which previously introduced zombie versions of the Avengers in its first season. This time, the last survivors include familiar heroes like Spider-Man, Shang-Chi, Yelena Belova, Red Guardian, and Eric Brooks.
Meanwhile, all Avengers members have fallen to the outbreak. Even extraordinary heroes like Scarlet Witch, the fierce Wakandan Dora Milaje warriors, and villains such as Namor and Thanos have become walking dead.
The series will feature the return of many familiar MCU voices, including Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Awkwafina as Katy Chen, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, and Dominique Thorne as Ironheart.
Marvel Zombies will release all four episodes on September 24.
